Annie E Griffin

John and Annie Griffin acquired many acres west of Lake Concord in Casselberry in 1883. John was murdered soon after, and the land went to Annie. She platted the first subdivision in the area. Although it never developed, it became Fern Park Estates and certain parts of her plan are still distinguishable on the street grid.

Lake Griffin is named for her. There is a historical marker at Plumosa Oaks Park in their honor.
