Forest City

Forest City is located in the southwestern corner of Seminole County, between Apopka and Altamonte Springs. It has a rich history dating back to the 1890s. It developed as a central citrus production hub and home to Forest Lake Academy.

Despite moves to form its own town or stay independent, it is now generally considered part of Altamonte Springs. The former center of the town was the 434-436 intersection, which is now incorporated into Altamonte. The western part around Bear Lake remains independent.
